Jared Grounds

Jared Grounds is a web developer with supplementary experience in cognitive psychology, user experience, and 3D modeling. While he initially became interested in programming to develop custom video game modifications, he later immersed himself in web architecture and websites due to their increased prominence and usefulness in society. Jared is currently in his senior year at Purdue University where he has completed a number of notable projects: TuneQueue, an implementation of the A* Algorithm, and Equ8. He is also employed part-time at Tire Rack™ and hopes to continue his employment, after graduation, as a software engineer.

Derek H.

Derek H. is a gameplay programmer with a background in game design and computer science. He’s been playing video games since he was five, but he was first inspired to pursue game development after playing the game “WarioWare DIY” on the Nintendo DS, where he created his own minigames within the game’s engine. Since then, he has programmed both front and back-end gameplay features, including item spawning, movement, save data, in-game stat and data manipulation, and UI updates across Unity, Unreal, and Godot. In his free time, he likes to play a wide variety of games, including action games, rhythm games, Metroidvanias, roguelikes, precision platformers, arcade shoot-em-ups, and many others.

Joshua Jones

Josh was first inspired to make games when he was 17 years old after he found himself analyzing and making notes on improvements he would make to his favorite game: Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare. As a level designer, Josh’s main goal is to bring map layout, gameplay flow, and level ideation to the team. While practicing level design in Unreal Engine for three years as an undergrad at Purdue University, some of the projects Josh has worked on are Be Not Afraid and CLOWN.

Kenny Park

Kenny Park is a game developer, programmer, and 3D artist from California's Bay Area who is passionate about creating cohesive projects and implementing cool ideas. He began tinkering with Game Maker 8.0 back in elementary school and has since gained working experience with Unity and Godot, releasing multiple games such as Duck Warfare and (soon, hopefully) Gawr Gura: Quest for Bread. Kenny's biggest inspirations come from the Nintendo DS; he cites Shu Takumi as a personal hero with games such as Phoenix Wright and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective being on the forefront of his creative influence, as well as the Zelda series. In his free time, Kenny plays guitar, listens to music, and on occasion, can be seen going outside.

Phillip Reid

Phillip Reid is a game developer studying game design. His favorite games are Gears of War 2 and Twilight Princess on Wii. He had been playing games for a while, but became interested in making them after a friend showed him a free game engine called GameMaker 7. This became a career goal when he started learning programming in high school. At Purdue, Phillip started to learn game design in Unreal 4, and make smaller projects in Unity and Godot. Later, he acted as a designer for The Gobfather, and both designer & programmer for Be Not Afraid.

Connor Wilson

Connor Wilson is a 3D artist from Central Indiana. He has experience working in Unreal Engine 4, Maya, Godot, and Blender. He was first inspired to pursue game design as a passion upon seeing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the first time, which led to him studying at Purdue University for four years. Zelda quickly became his favorite game series, but his current favorite games that continue to inspire him are Destiny 2 and Persona 5. Connor's two biggest projects he is credited with working on are Be Not Afraid and The Gobfather.
